Stan Isaacs

Clinical Director, Optometrist

Graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry Degree with Honors from the University of New South Wales in 1975, and was awarded the Martin Wells Prize for Diseases of the Eye in the same year. In 1976 he was awarded a Master of Optometry Degree. During the Masters Course he received the Hydron Prize for Advanced Contact Lens Theory and Practice.
During his masters programme he was a clinical supervisor at the contact lens clinic in the School of Optometry, University of New South Wales. Stan Isaacs started private practice in 1977, specialising in pediatric optometry and contact lenses. He was responsible for forming the Singapore Optometric Association in 1980, and was the pro-term President.
In 1990 he was elected as President of The Singapore Contact Lens Society, a position he still holds to date. He has presented numerous research papers at international and local Ophthalmology and Optometry conferences. These presentations are usually associated with his current researches on either myopia or contact lenses.

Stan Isaacs sat on the Standards Committee (Singapore) to draft out the Singapore standards for contact lenses. In 1996 he started working closely with Mr. John Mountford (The founder of the BE Orthokeratology lens system) on Orthokeratology.

He was the first practitioner to do Ortho-K in Singapore and was responsible for arranging, promotion and training of other contact lens practitioners in Ortho-K. He arranged numerous courses in Ortho-K in Singapore and Malaysia and was instrumental in setting up the Society of Orthokeratology (Singapore). He has been the president of this Society since its inception.

He is also the Clinical Director of I & Vision Pte Ltd. which predominantly does research for international contact lens and pharmaceutical companies to determine how their products perform on Asian (Chinese descent) eyes.

Ng Aerith Wen Xin

Miss Ng joined Stan Isaacs Optometrists in 2017, bringing her strong passion for patient-centric care and commitment to excellence in clinical practice. Her focus, empathy, and professional integrity have earned the trust and confidence of patients and colleagues alike. Known for her diligence and enthusiasm, she has quickly established herself as a highly skilled and respected optometrist.
With more than nine years of experience, Miss Ng has cultivated advanced expertise in complex contact lens fitting for challenging cases, including keratoconus, post-corneal transplant eyes, and post-LASIK patients. She is proficient in fitting a wide range of specialty lenses, such as Orthokeratology, Rigid Gas Permeable (RGPs), Scleral Haptics, Hybrid lenses, and Customised Soft Lenses designed to address high refractive errors, prosthetic needs, and even visual stress.
Miss Ng completed her optometry education with First-Class Distinction (Honours) from Aston University, United Kingdom. Prior to that, she obtained a Diploma in Optometry from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where she received multiple awards and recognition for outstanding academic performance.
Her career reflects a balance of technical expertise, patient-focused care, and continuous professional development, making her a trusted consultant in advanced optometric practice.
Currently, she is an active contributor in the professional community in the form of speaking engagements and educational initiatives.

Ngu Yi Qin

Ngu Yi Qin

Senior Optometrist

Ms Ngu graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Bachelors (Hons) in Optometry. She became a qualified optometrist in the United Kingdom after one year of supervised clinical practice and successful completion of the Scheme for Registration run by The College of Optometrists (UK). She practiced in Arbroath, Scotland, for 3 years and co-managed uncommon eye pathology with ophthalmologists.
She is currently registered under both the Optometrist & Optician Board (OOB) in Singapore and the General Optical Council (GOC) in United Kingdom. She has also attained a Fellowship Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing from Association of British Dispensing Opticians. Her professional interests include myopia control and ocular pathology.

Ang Yu Ping

Ms Ang graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Optometry, where she received comprehensive training in clinical eye care, vision assessment, and ocular health management. During her studies, she developed a strong foundation in patient-centred care and a keen interest in helping individuals achieve optimal visual comfort and clarity.
Dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalised optometric care, Ms Ang attends to patients of all ages with a warm and approachable manner. She believes in understanding each patient’s unique needs and lifestyle, allowing her to provide tailored advice and effective solutions while ensuring a comfortable and positive eye care experience.

Suri Adnan is delighted to be the first point of contact for patients here at Stan Isaacs Optometrists. From the moment a patient enters our doors, she is committed to making their visit as warm, pleasant, and efficient as possible, supporting them on their eyecare journey for better lifelong vision.
Overall, Suri has a passion for ensuring exceptional care and a smooth, welcoming experience for patients in collaboration with the whole team.
Her responsibilities include managing the appointment schedule, coordinating with the clinical team, handling patient inquiries, and maintaining all administrative operations. With a skillset emphasising organisation, she believes that a friendly, positive, and well-run front office is crucial for excellent healthcare.

Irdina is a creative individual with a strong passion for drawing, painting, and delivering good service. She loves expressing emotions and ideas through colour and imaginative designs.
She graduated in Opticianry from ITE College East in 2020 and worked as a retail manager optician, providing quality eye care and customer service. Fluent in both Bahasa Melayu and English, she communicates confidently with people from all backgrounds.
Recognised with the Excellence Service Award (Silver) from the National Singapore Retailers Association, Irdina continues to grow by balancing her technical skills with her artistic talents—bringing clarity, care, and creativity to everything she does.
