Meet Our Optometrists
Stan Isaacs
Graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry Degree with Honors from the University of New South Wales in 1975, and was awarded the Martin Wells Prize for Diseases of the Eye in the same year. In 1976 he was awarded a Master of Optometry Degree. During the Masters Course he received the Hydron Prize for Advanced Contact Lens Theory and Practice.
During his masters programme he was a clinical supervisor at the contact lens clinic in the School of Optometry, University of New South Wales. Stan Isaacs started private practice in 1977, specialising in pediatric optometry and contact lenses. He was responsible for forming the Singapore Optometric Association in 1980, and was the pro-term President.
In 1990 he was elected as President of The Singapore Contact Lens Society, a position he still holds to date. He has presented numerous research papers at international and local Ophthalmology and Optometry conferences. These presentations are usually associated with his current researches on either myopia or contact lenses.
Stan Isaacs sat on the Standards Committee (Singapore) to draft out the Singapore standards for contact lenses. In 1996 he started working closely with Mr. John Mountford (The founder of the BE Orthokeratology lens system) on Orthokeratology.
He was the first practitioner to do Ortho-K in Singapore and was responsible for arranging, promotion and training of other contact lens practitioners in Ortho-K. He arranged numerous courses in Ortho-K in Singapore and Malaysia and was instrumental in setting up the Society of Orthokeratology (Singapore). He has been the president of this Society since its inception.
He is also the Clinical Director of I & Vision Pte Ltd. which predominantly does research for international contact lens and pharmaceutical companies to determine how their products perform on Asian (Chinese descent) eyes.
Ng Aerith Wen Xin
Miss Ng joined Stan Isaacs in 2017 with a passion for patient-centric optometry. Her focus, friendly disposition, strong work ethic, and empathy have earned her the trust and confidence of many patients.
Dilligence and enthusiasm are additional characteristics that have made her a fast learner and highly-skilled professional. Ms Ng possesses exceptional proficiency in fitting a wide range of advanced contact lenses, including Orthokeratology, Rigid Gas Permeable (RGPs), Scleral Haptics, Hybrid and Customised Soft Lenses (Clear and Coloured). After 9 years in the field, she has established herself as one of the leading professionals in the realm of contact lens fitting.
Ms Ng completed her optometry education with First-Class Distinction (Honours) from Aston University in the United Kingdom. Prior to that, she obtained a Diploma in Optometry from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, during which she received multiple awards and recognition for academic performance.
Currently, she is an active contributor to the professional community in the form of speaking engagements and educational initiatives.

Jun 2022: Main Speaker for Scleral Lens Workshop on Advanced Cornea Disorders for students from Specialist Diploma in Community Optometry (Ngee Ann)
May 2023: Conducted Scleral Lens Introduction and Hands-on Fitting Course (intermediate level) to fellow industrial professionals at Myopia Specialist Centre
Zoe Leong
Practicing since 2017, Ms Leong is a highly skilled and dedicated optometrist with the goal of being an exceptional eye care servic eprovider. Her extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience have allowed her to establish herself as a trusted professional in the field.
She began with a Diploma in Optometry from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where she received recognition for her outstanding abilities in Paediatric Clinical Practice, receiving the prestigious Bausch and Lomb Honorary Award. She furthered her education and completed a Bachelor of Science in Optometry and Clinical Practice with honours from Aston University in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Her compassionate approach and attention to detail allow her to provide personalised care, tailoring her services to meet the unique needs of each patient. Outside of professional commitments, Ms Leong is actively involved in volunteer work. She participates in local and global vision screenings and has embarked on philanthropic mission trips, providing essential eye care services to multiple under-privileged communities.
At Stan Isaacs, Ms Leong has been practicing optometry and caring for her patients with the utmost dedication. While she is proficient in the full range of optometric care, her passion lies in working with paediatric patients and fitting Orthokeratology lenses.
Pang Kai Li
Ms Pang is an optometrist who graduated from Singapore Polytechnic. She has been trained to provide comprehensive eye examinations to patients of all ages. This includes prescribing of contact lenses, offering preventive eye care, diagnosing conditions, and managing common eye disorders.
She is dedicated to fostering a comfortable and caring environment where patients can feel at ease while receiving the highest standard of eye care. In addition, she strives to establish personalised care plans to meet each patient’s unique needs.
Ngu Yi Qin
Ms Ngu graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Bachelors (Hons) in Optometry. She became a qualified optometrist in the United
Kingdom after one year of supervised clinical practice and successful completion of the Scheme for Registration run by The College of Optometrists
(UK). She practiced in Arbroath, Scotland, for 3 years and co-managed uncommon eye pathology with ophthalmologists.
She is currently registered under both the Optometrist & Optician Board (OOB)
in Singapore and the General Optical Council (GOC) in United Kingdom. She has also attained a Fellowship Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing from Association of British Dispensing Opticians. Her professional interests include
myopia control and ocular pathology.
